Embodied Enquiry #12: Feeling Like an Idiot Practice - Recording of a Live Class
Embodied Enquiry #12:
Feeling Like an Idiot Practice
Recording of a live zoom class - 3rd July 2020 (EVENING CLASS)
Session length: 90 minutes.
Being willing to feel like an idiot is an art.
This is a group somatic coaching experience where we will use improvised comedy tools to explore how we might grow our window of tolerance for getting it wrong, without stiffening into defensiveness, or collapsing into humiliation.
How we might begin to court uncertainty as a creative resource?
Hate getting it wrong?
Perfectionist in recovery?
Ambitious to swan dive off the high board before you've even felt the temperature of the pool?
Well this might be the class for you.
Feeling awkward is natural, it is part of the human condition, but does it need to be a Greek tragedy...?? hmm
How do we train ourselves to come up with creative resources in the face of feeling like an idiot?
How do we take the shame out of getting it wrong?
Is declaring that we simply don't know and haven't got a clue, a healthy place start?
Hmm, let's see...
This will be a kind, gentle and playful environment.
You don't have to have any kind of experience to join.
This Recording will require about 500MB of available space on your hard drive. It may take some time to download. Please be patient!
