Methods / Influences: Improvised comedy; Theatre devising tools; The Artists Way; Oblique Strategies; Clowning techniques; Most of the idiots I've had the honour to be friends with.
What if self-learning, adaptation and growth might be possible through creative play, fascination and enjoyment instead of effort and trying hard? A radical idea in today's results-oriented culture!
How can we find a way to keep imagination and mischievousness alive in ourselves and also be responsible adults?
So many of our ideas of what a responsible adulthood looks like, denies us these animal pleasures.
Fuck that. Let's play.
We will explore the freedom of accepting you don't know anything about anything and how in imagination, anything is possible. We will relish being silly as a valid state of being and reclaim pleasure in the mystery of things,
We will explore:
- Taking a hunch for a walk.
- Improvised story telling.
- Visioning: resting in wonder and what if-ness.
- Being stupid for fun.
