Feldenkrais for hip flexors 1 - Rolling through lengthening - Recording of a live zoom class
An Awareness Through Movement Class taught on the 22nd Feb 2021.
£10 / 7 conc.
The first in a collection of lessons enquiring into how we are using our hip flexors - the deep structures at the centre of ourselves, to roll, to twist, to sit up, stand up and to walk.
How can we use movement, enjoyment and awareness to support our profound and innate organismic intelligence to do what it does best?
Before commentary, before analysis, there exists the lived experience of being. This felt sense of being in a body is primary. This is not to say 'better', just FIRST... Before language. Before meaning making. This work offers us a chance to be with that primary part of ourselves again for an hour or so and to be in pure exploration of it. This can be deeply restorative.
'Biological systems are functioning through fluid resonance, waves, spirals and pulses.'
